Limited Appraisals are more commonly known as Desktop Appraisals. As the name implies, this type of appraisal is limited by certain assumptions.
Desktop Appraisals are based on asset data submitted by the client. A Desktop Appraisal may or may not meet the collateral documentation and asset verification requirements of lenders, since an unbiased third party has not inspected the aircraft or inventory.
